Purves' Neuroscience 4th Edition by Dale Purves is a great text for medical school courses. This book is a well written book that is pretty easy to read with very good pictures and diagrams. While it doesn't go into the same depth as some other medical neuroscience books, it's really more than efficient for general medical education. It's concise enough to be read from cover to cover!
